Cardinal Manufacturing is an unusual high school program, setting an example for schools around the USA. This is the story of Cardinal Manufacturing, a metals class at Eleva-Strum Central High School in Wisconsin. The video and story from the September 2012 Modern Machine Shop magazine are shown below. This high school metals shop is self-sustaining, teaching the students using real-world work for area manufacturers. The students quote, manufacture, inspect, invoice, and deliver parts. This complete process not only teaches machining and other manufacturing techniques and processes, but also adds relavence.
